Advanced AutoCAD 2010 Tutorial Videos
These Advanced AutoCAD 2010 Tutorial videos are the ideal way for users to quickly advance their working knowledge of this powerful CAD Creation tool. Taught by a leading expert Shaun Bryant, practical working files also accompany this training series.
AutoCAD 2010 Advanced Concepts Tutorial Video
Here’s an Advanced AutoCAD 2010 Tutorial Video that will catch your attention. The third title in an already impressive AutoCAD Training Series, it covers the highest level of software functionality, with an emphasis on customization and collaboration.
Today’s developers and designers inevitably work as part of a team. Whether you want to run DWG files by clients or share your work with colleagues, it’s important to have easy options for getting your projects onto others’ computers, and in a format that preserves your original vision. In this tutorial, certified CAD expert Shaun Bryant (AAI) breaks down some of the new features in AutoCAD that not only let you share outputted projects but also trade configuration and scripting files so that every member of your team can be on the same page.
This intensive course devotes significant time to self documentation features within the program, addressing tables, advanced annotation and scaling functionality so that you can produce information-rich documents that more effectively communicate your vision.
The training format is effective but simple. Using a real time video feed of the application in use, techniques are demonstrated directly within the AutoCAD interface, with narration providing reinforcement. To make things even easier, DWG files are included that let you follow along with examples onscreen. The tutorial video can be accessed online through a subscriber service or bought on CD / DVD, and it’s viewable on both Mac and Windows machines so you don’t have to be at your workstation to watch the lessons.
Better Drafting and Design Functionality
AutoCAD 2010 is a major improvement over its predecessors because it offers new features where they count the most. Core design tools have been improved to reflect the way most professionals do their work, without radically changing the essential controls.
Parametric Drawing – This is a simple but major enhancement to the AutoCAD platform. Users can now use geometric constraints to ‘lock’ lines to stay perpendicular or parallel to one another so that small changes do not ruin the feasibility of their designs. In addition, objects can be constrained to be collinear, coincident, vertical, horizontal and concentric as well. Dimensional constraints allow you to control object sizes in relation to one another so that a change in one aspect of your project will automatically adjust all other elements tied to it. In the course of a complex project, the constraints can save literally hours of time.
3D Modeling – While 3D got a big boost with AutoCAD 2007, there was still a lot to be improved. Now modeling smooth surfaces and organic-styled features is possible because of the mesh editing tools included in 2010. Drawing from standard 3D software like Maya, AutoCAD has an array of new options for doing impressive 3D work.
The Advanced AutoCAD 2010 Tutorial Video covers 3D topics in addition to other higher end tasks and techniques. A full list of topics can be found on the product page, with free demos that let you get started.
